President Andrzej Duda says UN peacekeepers should be sent to the Russia-Ukraine border where fighting has killed more than 10,000 people since 2014.
The statement comes a day after US State Department said Washington would provide Ukraine with "enhanced defensive capabilities" as Kiev battles Russian-backed separatists in the eastern part of the country.
The death toll from the conflict in eastern Ukraine has risen to 32 since the latest fighting erupted on Sunday.
The conflict in Ukraine's separatist east, between Russian-backed militias and Ukrainian forces, flared in recent days with at least seven soldiers killed in renewed clashes.
