An official of the Pakistan Alpine Club says authorities are dispatching a helicopter to northern Ghizar district on Tuesday in a bid to rescue four Italians and three Pakistani climbers stranded due to an avalanche.
Climbers Tom Ballard and Daniele Nardi were last heard from on February 24 as they climbed the Nanga Parbat, which at 8,125 metres is the world's ninth-highest peak.
