UK lawmaker David Amess has died after being stabbed several times by an attacker during a meeting with constituents at a church in Essex in eastern England.
Two people were stabbed to death and a third was undergoing surgery for life-threatening injuries as possible motive for the killings remained unknown, Auckland police said.
The police say at this stage there is no information suggesting the incidents are linked.

Police said the stabbing victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries and were investigating the discovery of a women's body in a nearby apartment that appeared to have stabbing wounds.
