A suicide bomber attack on an education centre in western Kabul has left at least 100 people killed and injured, most of them young women.
Rescue teams working through the night were able to provide supplies of oxygen, as well as food and water, to some of those trapped through gaps in the rubble from a Shia Muslim shrine, local media reports.
The blast follows another attack which took place during a Shia community mourning gathering in Kabul and left at least eight people dead and 18 injured on Friday. Both attacks were claimed by Daesh.
A Kabul police spokesperson said the blasts at the Abdul Rahim Shahid school were caused by improvised explosive devices and left at least six people killed and 11 wounded.
Shia Muslim community in Kandahar accused the Taliban of not taking necessary security measures at mosques, expressing concern about their safety after two bomb attacks targeted the minority group in two weeks.
But the militant group's opponents have warned that the move can invite US sanctions on a country that's already reeling under an economic crisis.
