The ruling means the Swedish prosecutor cannot at this stage request WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's extradition from Britain. He is currently serving a 50-week sentence in Britain for skipping bail.
The judge sitting over the case declared a mistrial after the jury deliberating the case was found to be in deadlock. The declaration amounts to a blow for the dozens of women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault.
