The 2020 Oscars ceremony takes place on Sunday in Los Angeles, the climax of Hollywood's awards season.
The new Bond movie was initially expected to arrive in movie cinemas in November 2019 but that date was pushed back to 2020 after Britain's Danny Boyle pulled out as director and was replaced by American Cary Joji Fukunaga.
The celebration of diversity in Hollywood is all well and good, but a diversifying narrative has long been missing from the mix. Indeed, as the rest of the world celebrates varied stories, Tinseltown remains an insular industry.
Diversity, though, was the biggest winner when a black filmmaker won his first competitive Oscar, a superhero blockbuster set in Africa scored big, and two black actors and an Egyptian first-generation American won three of the four acting prizes.
The song overtook the likes of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," and Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O'Mine" after an autobiographical movie about the band's lead singer Freddie Mercury brought the 1975 hit to a new generation.
