The explosion went off shortly after the convoy of Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah entered Gaza through a crossing with Israel. Hamdallah is reported to be unharmed after the blast.

"We return to Gaza in order to conclude reconciliation and national unity and end the painful impacts of divisions and to rebuild Gaza brick by brick," says Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah in his visit to the Gaza Strip.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres says a two-state solution is the only way to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict during his first visit to the West Bank.
The trip to the region is Antonio Gutteres' first since being elected to the UN's top position last year.
