Black man Nichols will be eulogised by Reverend Al Sharpton while family members of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, who were killed by police in Louisville, Kentucky, and Minneapolis in 2020, will also attend funeral.
"You watched my brother die," George Floyd's brother said, urging the UN to investigate US police brutality and racial discrimination.
Floyd, who was 46 when he was killed during a police arrest over counterfeit money, has been laid to rest next to his mother in Houston where he grew up.
