Democratic Republic of Congo recorded 2,382 cases of Ebola, of which 1,606 were fatal, the Health Ministry says.
People in parts of the Democratic Republic of the Congo have linked the response to the Ebola outbreak with political disenfranchisement making it harder for foreign organisations to contain the outbreak.
Some 2,025 cases and 1,357 deaths recorded since the epidemic began in August in the Democratic Republic of the Congo's North Kivu and Ituri provinces, WHO officials say.
The vice governor of the affected Ituri province put the toll at around 200 based on estimates from the number of households submerged.
