Human rights groups point that confessions were extracted under torture and the alleged crime was committed when the convict was 17, a minor.
Two of the men executed were convicted of the abduction, bombing, murder of security forces and civilians, and of working with a militant group.
The judiciary in June said Mahmoud Mousavi Majd, who was arrested in 2018, had spied on various security fields including the Quds Force which was headed by former Revolutionary Guards commander Qassem Soleimani.
