Greek youth reportedly raised a flag on a disputed islet in the Aegean Sea on Sunday before Turkish coastguard teams removed the flag.
Turkish Muslims in Greece say their rights as a minority are being taken away by the state as elected religious leaders are no longer recognised by the government.
Court says it is granting the order 'for reasons of public interest' until a formal court hearing is scheduled against the asylum board's decision on Feb 15. The former soldier along with seven others fled to Greece by helicopter on July 16, 2016.
The two officers were sentenced to life in jail. The ruling was the first in a trial following the attempted coup in July 2015.
The decision comes a day after another court granted asylum to three other soldiers who fled to Greece after the failed July 15 coup.
