Right-wing presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori raises allegations of "irregularities" and "signs of fraud" in Sunday's run-off election as her rival, the far-left trade unionist Pedro Castillo, took a razor-thin lead in the vote count.
Fujimori left the woman's prison in the capital Lima on bail wearing a face mask and white gloves. She had earlier announced on Twitter that she would head straight from the facility to take a coronavirus test.

The pardon comes just days after a faction of Fujimori's supporters in the opposition-controlled Congress saved current President Kuczynski from a motion that would have forced him from office in the wake of a graft scandal.
