After the first reports of the former FBI director James Comey's highly critical 300-plus-page book emerged on Friday, US President Donald Trump slams him as a "weak and untruthful slime ball," even blames him for lying to the Congress under oath.
Some legal experts said Comey's testimony could strengthen any impeachment case built on the obstruction of justice, but US markets shrugged off news from the hearings so far for a lack of any major disclosures.
Former FBI director James Comey will testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee about whether President Donald Trump pressured him to halt a probe into former national security adviser Michael Flynn's links to Russia.
Kushner is the only current White House official known to be considered a key person in the probe. He is being investigated because of his meetings and other possible interactions with the Russian ambassador and a banker from Moscow.
US President Donald Trump also rejects media reports that said he had asked the former FBI director for his loyalty at a dinner in January.
US President calls James Comey a "showboat" and a "grandstander." He also signed an order aimed at upgrading government cyber defences. Trump says he has given a letter to Republican Senator Graham saying he has no investments in Russia.
