At least 13 people have been killed after a portion of a three-storey residential building collapsed on the outskirts of Mumbai city in Maharashtra state.
"Three people have died, and 27 others have been rushed to hospital. One was seriously injured," Reuben Ndolo, the Nairobi regional police commander says.
The accident happened at around 2pm in Kampene, 180 kilometres south of town of Kindu, when "dozens of people, including children and pregnant women" were at work on the site, a civil society campaigner said.
