Violence continues in Venezuela as five more people were killed during the latest opposition-led strike ahead of a planned election.
Roughly 2.8 million state employees, a sizeable part of Venezuela's population of around 30 million, are often obliged to attend government rallies.
The July 30 election will choose 545 delegates to the special body that will rewrite late President Hugo Chavez's 1999 constitution. But the opposition is angry and is calling for early presidential elections.
Voting will take place on March 2 after collapse of power-sharing government over a contentious green energy scheme.
