BioNTech says it hasn't seen any data that would indicate a heightened risk of heart inflammation after Israel announced investigating cases in people who received Pfizer vaccine.
The ash burst from Shishaldin Volcano, about 1,080 km southwest of Anchorage, was part of an on-and-off, mostly low-level series of eruptions that began in July with a stream of lava from the crater at the peak of the 2,869-metre mountain.
Emergency services scrambled to evacuate areas around the Fuego volcano, which erupted again with the death toll having climbed to 75. Almost 200 people have been reported missing.
Guatemala's western Fuego volcano violently erupted on Sunday killing at least 25 people and injuring hundreds while spewing a five mile stream of red hot lava and a plume of ash around the capital, Guatemala city.
"There are injured, burned and dead people," says National Disaster Coordinator Sergio Cabanas, adding, an undetermined number of people were missing following the violent eruption of Fuego volcano in over four decades.
