Anti-New Delhi protests erupted after three suspected rebels were killed in southern Pulwama town in India-administered Kashmir. Locals say troops detained several people and forced them to sit in front of them as shields during the clashes.
Four rebels, a policeman and a civilian were killed during a gun battle in the Anantnag district of the disputed Indian-administered Kashmir region.
