The Affordable Care Act, or "Obamacare," protects people with pre-existing conditions. But insurance companies don't want those people on their books, and likely won't have them if US President Donald Trump get his way.

US President Donald Trump and the GOP-led Congress have vowed to repeal the Obama-era health law and replace it with plans yet to emerge.

Tens of millions of Americans could lose their health coverage or see a hike in premiums. But for those with pre-existing conditions, it could be worse. Insurers don't want to provide people coverage if they have a medical history.

TRT World's Mary MacCarthy met a woman in Denver who falls into that category.
